The Project:

Kirsten led the curation of the CISL short course: Sustainable Real Estate: Creating a Better Built Environment which launched in 2021. The 8-week short couse combines research notes, interviews, podcasts, inforgraphics and various student activities. Kirsten drew on the expertise within KLH to draft technical content for a variety of study notes covering global trends, key sustainability themes, the role of finance, design and procurement in creating a better build envionment and then worked closely with copy-writing and publishing teams to ensure the final content was suited to the high calibre nature of the course.

Buildings produce a third of all greenhouse gas emissions and are one of the main consumers of energy in the world. The real estate sector plays an undeniable role in the climate emergency and needs to be reimagined if we want a sustainable future.
