The Project:

ZND Is the market leader in the manufacture and supply of high-quality temporary fencing, hoarding, pedestrian barriers, event barriers and associated products. With factories in the United Kingdom, United States, Holland and Poland, ZND are able to supply these products at scale to clients worldwide. KLH Sustainability are working with ZND UK to develop their Net Zero Carbon strategy which will be aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative’s (SBTI) Net-Zero Standard and eventually be applied across the ZND Group. This involves setting ambitious near-term and long-term scope 1, 2 and 3 targets. All long-term targets will be consistent with the level of decarbonisation required to keep global temperature increase to 1.5°C compared to pre-industrial temperatures.

This robust strategy should futureproof the business against various regulatory, financial and reputational risks. Achieving the scale of carbon reduction required to comply with the SBTi standard will require engagement across the value chain and may lead to the identification of new business models and opportunities, giving ZND a competitive advantage. In addition, KLH will be utilising the data collated to provide life cycle carbon figures of our key product ranges, offering transparency to our customers, and attracting further engagement from partners also working towards net zero.
